This Easter Weekend came around quicker than we had expected and with Good Friday traditionally being the busiest time of year, we were all raring to go! Good Fridays are a true test to the team’s capabilities involving an incredible amount of preparation work, frying expertise and the speed of the counter staff. We really hope we did well!
As with every Good Friday we were open all day from 11.30am – 11pm and queues started as early as 11.20am. Orders for fish and chips were flying in, with freshly cooked fish and chips barely hitting the hot boxes before they were served up. Very quickly we had sold tons and tons of mushy peas and ran out of curry sauce! And our batter, salt and vinegar…. Well, it was all gone before we knew it!
It was a very Good Friday indeed and more so because we got to see all our regular customers’ as well as old and new faces, all in the one day! =)
